Westboro Baptist Church

Few things in life make me get REALLY, REALLY angry. Very, very rarely do I ever feel wells of hate boiling up inside me.  But reading the newspaper this morning, I started to feel that seldom felt feeling of sticky anger towards the following organization. I'm one of those fighters that feels angry for a bit, stews for another little bit then, goes to the drawing board, sketches out my strategic game plan, and then works toward anything I can do to offer a solution. When fighting time actually comes, I am back to my happy self, because I have learned that happy warriors fight best.

But right this moment, I'm in the angry bit. If you haven't seen the article yet. Read it all here.

Wow! That is outrageous! Last time I checked, the person(s) who wrote this is NOT God. This is so sad that people would actually do this. Who are we to judge another. I know at times it is difficult not to for a second, but in the end we are not the one who determines what is going to happen to that person. So all in all, just wow. How dare them.

I am horrified over this! I hadn't heard this but it surely makes me sick now upon reading about it. I cannot believe they are able to stand in front of God and speak such hate. Very very sad.

I feel your rage! This article is DISGUSTING! The person who wrote it is DISGUSTING!

I thought Elizabeth was a strong, courageous woman who coped with much with great dignity. May she rest in peace.

That article is so disgusting. But everything that comes out of the Westboro Baptist Church is so disgusting. I feel so sorry for the children in that church brought up to hate -- and I feel so angry about the adults. I just don't understand how people can act so terribly towards their fellow man.

And the fact that they call themselves Christians. Wow. I think they are in for an ugly wake-up when they die, because I'm pretty sure God won't appreciate the way they've treated His other children!

Let's just say Jesus would not be happy with those people.

It just makes me sad that communities of people can form into this. I think it takes extreme examples, however, to make us see ourselves (and our prejudices) more clearly. I think acknowledging them it the biggest step in preventing things like this.

Well, I believe it is one thing that most everyone can agree on. Most everyone is disgusted by the group and their politics. They also are the group that protest the funerals of soldiers who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am not saying that they do not have the right to state their opinion, but the vast majority of people have the right to disagree with it.
